Nagrand Ring

The official name is Nagrand Ring. “Nagrand Arena” is the older Warcraft map name, and I keep it out of the first sentence so the two are not confused. The map has been in the client since version 0.1, whose date is unpublished. Four large pillars break line of sight. The two teams leave from opposite starting rooms.

Version 0.14 added raised stands for spectators. The changelog says the stands do not change line of sight or the fight. Version 0.12 is the related combat rule: area spells stop at pillars instead of drawing through them. I do not have a measured distance between the pillars or between the doors. No public source found as of 2026-10-30 for those yards, so I will not write “20 yards” or any other guess.

Because the pool is random, you cannot queue Nagrand on purpose. Ruins and Blade's Edge are the other two names. If a guide tells you to open on the left pillar, treat that as taste, not as a measured callout. I have no first-person pathing notes from inside a match.
