Class guide
Warlock: Affliction and Demonology
Warlock spends mana. The independent database names the model Gul’dan, a single source. Affliction’s names are Unstable Affliction, Curse of Agony, Drain Mana, Haunt, Curse of Tongues and Siphon Life. Demonology’s are Hand of Gul’dan, Call Dreadstalkers, Demonic Empowerment, Intercept, Spell Lock, Seduction, Summon Infernal, Summon Doomguard and Dark Pact. Shared tools: Shadow Bolt, Immolate, Corruption, Drain Life, Fear, Howl of Terror, Death Coil, Healthstone, Shadowflame and Life Tap.
Version 0.5 is the launch, the same build that turned rating on. Version 0.19 cuts demon damage by about five percent, shared with hunter pets. Hotfix 0.18.1 sets Drain Life at 80 per tick, down from 110, directly in the official client changelog (single primary source). Version 0.14.1 says Fear breaks after 600 damage. Seduction follows the 0.21 single-target control rule. I am not choosing a pet for you. No public source found as of 2026-10-30 for a demonology pet ranking.
Fear’s 600-damage break is easy to over-read. It is a changelog figure for that hotfix, not a promise that every fear in every later build still pops at 600. I keep the number next to its version.
Affliction
Affliction includes Unstable Affliction, Haunt and Drain Mana. The historical Drain Life changes should be read beside their patch number, rather than treated as a measured damage-over-time rotation.
Demonology
Demonology includes Hand of Gul’dan and Call Dreadstalkers. The notes name several demon tools, but do not establish a best pet from a public match sample.
These are single-source kit descriptions from the public client and its derived database, not ranked builds. For editorial role examples, see comp planning; for published changes, see patch notes.
