3v3

3v3 role sketches

A 3v3 adds one person to the 2v2 problem. The sketch I will describe is healer plus melee plus caster, because that covers healing, a short-range interrupt and a long-range cast. It is a coverage diagram. The independent 3v3 tool uses the same restraint as its 2v2 tool: no win rate, no tier, no certified control chain.

Who sits in the chairs is your choice of the nine classes. A Discipline priest or Restoration shaman can be the healer. A warrior or rogue can be the melee. A mage or warlock can be the caster. Swap any chair for another class with the same job and you have a different sketch, not a different rank. Double melee plus healer, or double caster plus healer, are the obvious variants. I am not attaching fear to any of them.

Target swapping matters more with three health bars. In 0.21, casting your Polymorph, Fear, Cyclone or Sap on a new target releases the last target you held with that same spell. The note does not establish a team-wide limit, so it cannot support a claim that a second mage or warlock is less useful. The queue tries to separate healers when possible. An extra healer waits only while another player can take that place; otherwise the match proceeds. A premade party chooses its own healers and they are excluded from this balancing rule. This is not a one-healer cap. None of that is a leaderboard.

Questions

What is the best 3v3?

No public sample. I describe roles only.

Why mention 0.21 here?

Long control became single target, which changes how a three-player setup chains.

Does the game recommend comps?

I did not find an official recommended-comp list in the public sources checked.
