Spectating matches

Spectating arrives in version 0.14 on 27 Oct 2026, titled From the Stands. The cap is ten viewers. The Arena Herald lists rated matches, unrated matches and duels. Tab, or a click on a portrait, follows a player. Shift+Tab steps back. Viewers talk to each other. The players do not see that chat. Viewers see both teams, including people who are stealthed. Hotfix 0.14.1 lets viewers jump and show chat bubbles. Version 0.16 shows the followed player’s unit bar. Watching does not stop you from queueing.

Nagrand’s stands, added in the same 0.14 build, do not change line of sight. I am not describing a replay system. No public source found as of 2026-10-30 for a delay, a rewind, or a saved VOD inside the client. YouTube clips on the video page are creator uploads, not an official broadcast.

If the Herald is empty, that is a population moment, not a bug I can quantify. There is no public viewer count.
