Patch 0.5 Shadows and Standings

Shadows and Standings, version 0.5, is dated 24 Oct 2026. Warlock joins. Rated play starts. Each class keeps a separate rating in each bracket, and the starting number is 1500. At this historical point, the notes restrict rated progress to registered accounts and exclude guests, bots and practice. The later 0.11 guest update explicitly preserves guest ratings from the first match, so the old guest restriction must not be used as today’s rule. Warrior is reworked in the same build. I do not have a before-and-after ability diff in the short summary, so the warrior page carries later, explicit changes instead of a guessed 0.5 kit.

Keybinds, controls, interface options and the HUD layout save to the account and follow you between the browser and Windows. That sync is why a Windows install is not a second character. The download page repeats it.

Warlock spell names from the independent list, single source: Unstable Affliction, Curse of Agony and Haunt for Affliction; Hand of Gul’dan, Call Dreadstalkers and Summon Infernal for Demonology; Shadow Bolt, Immolate, Corruption, Fear and Life Tap shared. Pet damage is trimmed later, in 0.19, by about five percent. Fear breaks after 600 damage in the 0.14.1 notes. Those are not 0.5 numbers.

Questions

When did rating start?

Version 0.5, 24 Oct 2026, at 1500 per class per bracket.

Do practice games count?

No. Bot and practice games do not change rating. The guest restriction in this historical entry was superseded by 0.11, which keeps guest ratings and lists them after Save Progress.

Do settings sync to Windows?

Yes, from this build, once they are on an account.
