Patch 0.20 Moonkin

Version 0.20 is titled Moonkin and shares the date 29 Oct 2026 with the builds around it. The client changelog uses that day for 0.19, 0.20 and 0.21. I am not merging them into one patch. Moonkin is the build that gives Druid a third specialization: Balance.

The new tools named in the notes are Moonkin Form, Starfire, Insect Swarm and Typhoon. Moonfire’s initial and periodic damage are adjusted in the same pass; the note does not state a duration increase. Before this, Druid was Restoration and Feral only, from the class launch in 0.6. Balance is why the spec count is 19 rather than 18: three druid specs plus two on each of the other eight classes.

An independent database also lists Starfall, Force of Nature, Hush of Elune, New Moon, Ironbark and Sunfire on the Balance bar. That list is a single source. I am not printing damage numbers for those spells. If you play the spec, start from the druid guide and treat the extra names as labels, not as a rotation I tested.

Same-day context matters. 0.19 had just added two utility slots, and 0.21 would reset rating a build later. Moonkin itself does not reset the ladder. People who queued Balance on 29 Oct were still on the pre-reset numbers until Fresh Slate landed. I keep those events on separate pages so a search for Moonkin does not inherit the rating math.
