Patch 0.18 Fine Tuning
0.18 Fine Tuning — 28 Oct 2026
Dispels and purges remove one stack at a time from stacked buffs. A removed Lifebloom stack blooms; Lightning Shield, Water Shield and Earth Shield lose one charge. This is not a new rule that every unstacked effect survives a dispel.
The four named classes are Hunter, Paladin, Shaman and Warlock. Hunter’s Arcane Shot and Beast Mastery Kill Command rise to 35 focus; Bloodshed lasts 10 seconds and cuts healing received by 20%. Retribution’s Avenging Wrath no longer increases healing. Enhancement’s Searing Totem lasts 10 seconds and can be selected with Tab; other totems are still skipped by Tab. Demonology’s Demonic Frenzy gives smaller stacking damage bonuses.
0.18.1 Drained — 29 Oct 2026
The hotfix adds a class filter to the leaderboard: All shows the combined top 50, while selecting a class shows that class’s own top 50. The chat filter covers disguised slurs and repeated-message spam. Hunter’s Arcane Shot and Beast Mastery Kill Command rise again to 40 focus. Drain Life deals and heals 80 per tick, down from 110; Death’s Embrace adds 80 healing per tick below its health threshold. These figures are directly printed in the official client text, a single primary source.
These are historical steps, not a claim that every value survives later patches. See Hunter and Warlock for the relevant class context.
Questions
What changed for dispels?
Stacked buffs lose one stack or charge per dispel. Lifebloom’s removed stack blooms.
Which classes were tuned?
Hunter, Paladin, Shaman and Warlock, explicitly named in the 0.18 client entry.
Why are there two Hunter focus costs?
0.18 raises the two named abilities to 35 focus; 0.18.1 then raises them to 40. They are sequential historical changes, not conflicting current values.
